25 Young Entrepreneurs move to next level of BAM Challenge

Congratulations to the top 25 Lucky participants who have made to the next round of the annual Nile Breweries entrepreneurship campaign. The 25 Lucky young entrepreneurs were selected from the 50 participants from the different regions nationwide who took part an exciting two-day business boot camp at Royal Suites Hotel, Kampala concluded yesterday.

5 successful contestants were picked from each region to proceed to the next stage as follows:

  • Northern: Okidi David, Etyak Emmanuel, Ojok Kenneth, Muhumuza Grace, Kisakye Pricilla.
  • Central: Kiggundu Sairus, Mutegeki Dickens, Frank Mugisha, Ngagire Gorret, Okurut Ronald.
  • Eastern: Oroni Edward, Nakungu Janat, Irene Sharon, Bazibu Julius, and Kyanda Charlese.
  • South West: Atukwase Harold, Alex Byaruhanga, Douglas Smith, Atwongyeire Racheal, Syson Namara.
  • Western: Natuhwera Innocent, Johnson Rukara, Ronnie Abenaitwe, Atukwatse Onesmus, Nuwarinda Editor.

Commenting about the process that narrowed the contestants from over 200 entries received countrywide, the Business Development Manager, Enterprise Uganda, Noah Wandera indicated that confidence and self-drive to achieve business results ranked highest on the list of priorities.

Onapito Ekomoloit, the NBL Legal and Corporate Affairs Director thanked the participants for taking part, and for showcasing vast knowledge and skills. The Season II of the campaign-themed “Last Man Standing”, has a prize kitty worth UGX100M that will be spread among participants at varying levels. The 25 participants will now face off in a 5-week game show contest due to air every Saturday on Partner station Capital Fm from Saturday, September 10th to October 8th.  Participants will have an opportunity to win cash prizes right from the regional stage to the national stage. The top 5 will face off in the national contest, to be the last man standing.
