Behind every refreshing sip of our beer is a team pouring their heart into what they do. We’re overjoyed to share that we were crowned Employer of the Year 2025, earning the Gold Overall Award at the Employer of the Year Awards, organised by the Federation of Uganda Employers (FUE).
The awards ceremony, held at Mestil Hotel Kampala under the theme “Investing in Uganda’s Future: Employers Fostering Job Creation,” evaluated employers across critical areas, including job creation, human resource strategies, diversity and inclusion, decent work, refugee inclusion, and elimination of child labour. The 2025 edition attracted 132 organisations and engaged over 1,300 respondents nationwide.
Receiving the award, which was handed over by the Minister of State for Gender, Labour and Social Development – Hon Esther Anyakun, our Country People Lead – Martha Nalubega, expressed pride in reclaiming the top spot, noting that it reflects the company’s strong values and people-first culture.
“Winning the Employer of the Year Award is a powerful recognition of the culture we have built at Nile Breweries, one where our people feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. It also reaffirms our mission to grow with Uganda, creating jobs, supporting communities, and ensuring that together we build a brighter, more sustainable future,” Nalubega said.
With this honour, we’re inspired to keep nurturing a workplace where every idea bubbles up and every team member thrives. Here’s to brewing more victories, together!
